Inspired by the resounding success of the Uncommitted voting campaign from Michigan, the Listen to Georgia Coalition, a diverse group of local faith leaders, activists, and political organizations, has launched the "Leave it Blank" voting campaign.

This campaign calls on Georgia voters to submit a blank ballot in the state's Democratic presidential primary on March 12th to send a powerful message to President Biden to immediately call for a permanent ceasefire and end his support for the genocide in Gaza, or risk electoral consequences in 2024.

In 2020, Biden won Georgia by roughly 12,000 votes.  Even 1,200 blank votes cast represents 10% of that margin and is impactful.

Georgia Organizers Say: Listen to Georgia - Leave it Blank

We, the undersigned, endorse and support the efforts of the Listen to Georgia Coalition and the Coalition’s call to Leave it Blank in the Georgia Democratic primary elections of 2024.

The Listen to Georgia Coalition is a diverse group of local faith leaders, activists, and political organizations. We call on Georgia voters to submit a blank ballot in the state's Democratic presidential primary - to send a powerful message to President Biden to stop funding the Israeli government’s atrocities against the Palestinian people.

President Biden’s been a successful candidate in the past by representing a broad coalition, but right now he’s not representing the vast majority of Democrats who want a ceasefire and an end to our government's unconditional weapons funding of Israel. He's not representing the young people who put him in office and turned out in the midterms -- and are now out protesting his policies in the street.

As endorsers of this campaign, we encourage our community members to #LeaveItBlank in the Georgia Democratic Primary. To #LeaveItBlank, visit your voting location and request a Democratic ballot. When voting, you will see three options: Joe Biden, Dean Phillips, and Marianne Williamson. Do not select anyone. Leave it blank and turn in your ballot.

President Biden won Georgia by a narrow margin of 12,000 votes, an average of less than 100 votes per county. He won because of the hard work of Georgia organizers who mobilized communities to turn out every one of those voters. President Biden cannot afford to lose the support of the communities that helped him win, and we deny our support to a Presidential candidate who refuses to do everything in his power to save Palestinian lives in Gaza.

The undersigned organizations reiterate that President Biden must earn our vote through an immediate and significant change in his policy on Gaza.

Sincerely,
